## Description

Raintech Product Search Bar for WooCommerce adds a live AJAX-powered search box 
to your store. As customers type, matching products appear instantly in a dropdown,
showing the product image, title, price, and stock status — no page reload required.

**Features:**

 * Live AJAX search with debounced input (reduces server load)
 * Displays product image, title, price, and stock status in results
 * Simple shortcode: `[raintech_search_bar]`
 * Built-in WordPress widget for sidebars and widget areas
 * Configurable placeholder text and result limit
 * Nonce-protected AJAX requests for security
 * Clean, responsive dropdown UI
 * Lightweight — no external libraries beyond jQuery (already bundled with WordPress)

**Shortcode usage:**

    ```
    [raintech_search_bar placeholder="Search our store..." limit="10"]
    ```

 * `placeholder` — text shown inside the empty search box (default: “Search products…”)
 * `limit` — maximum number of results shown in the dropdown (default: 8)

**Widget usage:**

Go to Appearance  Widgets and add the “Raintech Product Search” widget to any widget
area. You can set a widget title and placeholder text.

## Installation

 1. Upload the `raintech-product-search-bar-for-woocommerce-bar-for-woocommerce` folder
    to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory, or install the zip via Plugins  Add New
    Upload Plugin.
 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
 3. Make sure WooCommerce is installed and activated.
 4. Add the shortcode `[raintech_search_bar]` to any page, post, or widget area, or
    add the “Raintech Product Search” widget via Appearance  Widgets.

## FAQ

### Does this require WooCommerce?

Yes, WooCommerce must be installed and active for this plugin to function, since
it searches WooCommerce products.

### Can I change how many results appear?

Yes, use the `limit` attribute in the shortcode, e.g. `[raintech_search_bar limit
="5"]`.

### Does it search product descriptions too?

By default it searches product titles and content using WordPress’s native search(`
s` parameter in WP_Query), which covers title and post content.

### Is it mobile-friendly?

Yes, the search box and dropdown are responsive and work on mobile devices.
